FAQs
We understand that, when it comes to mental health and your physical well-being, you may have some unanswered questions and concerns. The last thing we at Dr. Angela Reiter and Associates want is for you to feel alone. We make it our goal to provide you with answers and the support that you need. Below are a few of the most common questions we get, regarding our services and our practice. If you still have questions after reading the following, feel free to get in touch with one of our staff members today.
How long does a therapy last?
During your initial consultation, we will discuss your options and begin to devise a treatment plan that will be regularly reviewed to ensure goals are met and your treatment is effective.
Your first session may also include evaluative testing based on your concerns. This can include ADHD, anxiety, depression, or IEP testing, among others.
What can I expect from evaluative testing and treatment?
To avoid fatigue, testing is spread over a few days, with sessions lasting between one and two hours each. Individual therapy sessions generally last 45 minutes, with the option to add extended time when necessary.
Do you accept insurance?
Dr. Angela Reiter and Associates is an out-of-network provider with regards to all insurance carriers. Because of this, you are able to have the maximum control of your privacy and records, and selecting who you want to provide your services.
Important questions for you to ask your insurance company include: Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? Do I have a deductible, and has it been met? How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network mental health provider?
What is the benefit of paying privately?
Private pay allows for treatment without adding a diagnosis to your permanent record or having to send detailed notes to your insurance company.
Do you accept Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts?
At Dr. Angela Reiter and Associates, we accept cash, check, or credit card as forms of payment. You can usually pay for your assessment and therapeutic services through your Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). These services may be tax deductible, though and you may need to check with your specific insurance carrier to see if any restrictions apply.
